Very true. I'm swinging back and forth. Everyone wants the top end power obviously, but all the GM LS3 heads I have heard of or seen testing on have cracked around the rocker studs. Like, whole chunks breaking off the heads during spintron testing.

Damn my l92 heads that's been milled .052 are hanging in pretty good.. Lol if you were building a bigger cubic inch motor I'd so go for those heads, but for a 370, l92 heads are pretty good heads.

I do agree with the others on the heads. Just because the small bore LS7 will fit doesn't mean it will be optimal. I'd rather get the Trick Flow 235 heads if you are looking for high flowing heads. If you are stuck on rectangular ports, then check out ported LS3 heads.

I'd run them. The L92's are only 6cc less so if won't really make a difference. Do the small bore LS7 heads fit a 4in bore?

Edit: Found that they fit a 3.900" bore but can't seem to find any flow numbers...

I would assume when you see LS7 flow numbers they are flowed on a 4.125 bore, but when you see L92 heads they are flowed on a 4.00 bore.

So far everyone has had a valid point most certainly, but that has been my point honestly. The L92's are not much smaller and I know the RHS castings are a higher quality. Yes they fit down to a 3.900" bore. Are they a little overkill? YES, But with a high 230's low 250's duration cam and about 630 lift..... I'm thinking it would end up being a solid combo.

Ok I have been swayed. As most of us do, I was drooling over the thought of big shiny new parts, but the reality is the L92 head are just fine for what I'm doing here. But the LSXRt intake wont work with the ports. Thought I could switch the lower section but, it aint happenin. SO....

How do you guys feel about the Holley Hi Ram? Anybody run one on their setup yet? They are just plain sexy as a side bonus.

I'll be running one soon. I've only heard good things about them.
