Default 370 build ideas

Ok, I;ve got an LQ9 block that I'm gonna bore out and get built in the next few weeks/months. here's my plan:

LQ9 bored .030" over (370ci)
Manley forged pistons and H-beam rods
RHS small bore LS7 heads (266cc runner)
Comp dual springs w/ tooled steel retainers
Custom grind cam (TBD)
Chromemoly pushrods
Comp Ultra Pro Magnum rockers
TCI Rattler harmonic balancer
ZEX LS plate nitrous kit (150-200 shot)
42 lb/hr injectors

Parts I already have:
K&N intake kit
American racing headers
Spintech Pro 6000 series muffler
FAST LSXRt 102 intake w/ billet fuel rails
92mm FAST TB
BE COOL aluminum radiator w/ dual E-fans
EGR delete
and several other bits and pieces

thoughts?

Those heads wont work well. Get the LS3 heads. You would basically be making an LY6 engine. I would also stay away from the fast intake. If I was doing a plate kit I would get a single plane intake.

I agree with the guys on the fast! I have read way to many people having tuning nightmares. A few are having vacuum leak issues but the only idea is a lot of intakes have flexing/warping issues.

If you want strait top end screamer I would go Ls3 or ported Ls3 since you are making the bore 4.030 you should have problems with the valve shrouding.

What CR are you shooting for?

I don't see why they won't. They are the new small bore LS7 heads with a 66cc chamber. And I've never had any tuning issues with the FAST intake, which is already installed on the 5.3 that's in it. Had an intake seal leak because I forgot to loctite the intake bolts cuz it was 2 am when I put it on, but other than that, no problems.

Looking at 10.8-11:1 CR. More Pro touring style build than top end drag truck. That will be one day when I can afford to do the rear suspension correctly.

I don't understand all the hating on the FAST. The GTO guys use them all the time. I have a FAST 90 on my LS1 and love it. If you are experiencing tuning problems with a FAST, you need to find a better tuner.
