well is it a recommended setup?

Im setting up a motor also that consists of running the tr220, LTs, bolt ons, 3200 fuddle stall, and im debating on running the 243 heads (LS6). Was/is there a noticble defference in these heads on a 5.3?

would I have to mill anything?

thanks for the help and info

They definetly flow a lot better than the stock 5.3 heads. and yes, you would need to have them milled since their stock combustion chambers are 64-65cc and the 5.3s are a little smaller than that.

start out with your stock heads first.
get your times, then go from there.

Alright, its making sense now. thanks on that

how about the pushrod lenght? is that a concern? if I milled them .040 running stock 5.3 gaskets

about the injector issue, 02' injectors are they alright for this also or am I pushing my limits also

well i thought about milling those to get a little more compression, but then read up a little on the LS6 heads and then tossed the idea around to maybe run them on my motor.

would it be worth it to port the stock heads or run the Ls6 heads though?

You would be better just running the 243s unless your gonna have the 5.3 heads professionally ported, i wouldn't try it by hand.
