224 or 228

I ran the 224 on my 5.3 with yank 3000 and If I could do it again I would either go with a smaller cam or a larger than 3000 stall converter. 224 on a 6.0 is alot different than on a 5.3.

You also have a 6.0, a 6.0 will handle a decent amount larger cam then a 5.3 and still be good mannered. Allot of guys on this site are running damn good times with TR220 cams. Bigger isnt always better, you dont want to throw away too much low end in a truck. All in all its personal preferance but just some food for thought.

I ran an 11.xx with a 224/224 on a stock converter.
In the 1/8th
. You'll hate driving it with a stock stall man. I didn't mind it because I did almost all highway driving, but your 60' times will be embarrassing.

I have a 228 in my truck with a stock stall. I can't even spin the tires from a dig. In 1st they will spin when I get to 4k, and not before then. I have had my eye on a PI 3600 and an FLT level 5 for awhile. Funds and **** happening has stopped me from doing than. All and all, my truck is still fun to drive, but I really want a stall. I guarantee you with a stall, my truck would be a beast. I would really like to see what it would do again a stock Magna Charged truck. GL man

bigger is better. go with a 238/242 cam with like .660 lift. and keep your stock stall. it'll be a beast above 5K rpms.
by the way if you wanna beat your buddy with a pullied lightning and cams and what not, it's going to take a lot of money.
