2009 L92 camshaft question

Well mine does the same thing (pushes) it acts like the verter is still locked like when you come to a stop, but I guess he had a stock verter, mine may be in the tune though.

Do you have a stock torque converter?

From what I've been reading on the cmt 900 forum on here my phaser and cam ( based on the core ) may not match, haven't tore it down yet but I'm getting away from the vvt stuff, getting a cam cut now, don't know the specs yet ( my tuner is getting it cut for me ) should have it in a couple of weeks, going to take the truck to the track like it is this weekend and just see what it'll do, it just feels like my old 6.2 truck with bolt on stuff, 4.10's and tune would smoke this truck, it ran like 8.48 in the 1/8 with the rev limiter banging on the 1-2 shift, THANKS!

That setup shouldn't be soft down low. You asked about the split in the cam, if you went with a larger exhaust duration one of the main things it's known to do is extend the power range, which wont help you down low. May also drop your dynamic compression a tad which won't help down low.

With that motor and cam, a 3600 stall and a 6L80 it should hammer out of the hole.

When you say soft down low, are you meaning at WOT or part throttle, if at part throttle then the stall is gonna be the issue, you said it's loose, that makes everything feel like mush.

If you're pushing through the stall then I would call it tight not loose, or your idle is way high.

It don't have **** down low or in the middle, from 5k to 6500 is where it's at, no the verter is fine, ran it before and the stock 6.2 loved it, the "pushing' is something to do with the tune, it really feels like when you come to a stop the verter is still locked, but another thing is you can be going down the road knock the truck in nut neutral and it'll rev to like 2k and hold it till u stop, crazy, the tune was a quickie any way going to get it touched up. THANKS!

I've had one do that, the idle isn't set right. Sounds like rolling idle needs to be adjusted.

And sounds like you need to get the tune right before you try to figure anything else out, that truck should pull stumps down low.
