Default 2006 5.3 Cc

Curious if the ls2 cam or the 2002+ zo6 cam would be better for my 2006 Chevy Crew Cab 1500 with the 5.3. It has the long tubes with flowmasters, cai, blackbear tune (which will obviously be a different tune after the cam swap). I drive the truck daily and pull a racecar trailer maybe 3 times a year (not very often). Dont really want a to put a converter in it but if i really have to, I guess I would. Thanks for any experiences or opinions.

If you install the ls2 cam you will need the cam position sensor adapter for genIII engines since the ls2 cam is gen4. Also the ls2 cam specs arent that great of an upgrade...

LS2 Cam
200/203
.500/.500
116LSA

02+ LS6 Cam
204/218
.551/.547
117.5LSA

I would go with the o2+ LS6 cam if i were you......just look at my sig.
