what type of rods came with a 06 LQ9 im looking at buying one i think they came with the ls2 ones correct me if im wrong.

If you want to get technical about it the LS2 uses LQ9 rods.

Does an 06 have a 24x reluctor or a 54x reluctor on the crank? When did they switch over? (not trying to hijack, I figured the question was relevant )

naw its got the 24 positve they didnt switch until 2007 when they came out with the nnbs

LQ9's came with those rods since their inception, in 05 they upgraded the LQ4 to the same rods as the LQ9. So any year LQ9 will have those rods, and 05+ LQ4's will also.
