Default 02 Av getting 6.0 swap. Cam or no??

I'm getting a 2003 LQ4 next week and I'm having a 4L65E built that will be done Tuesday also. It will have the Trailblazer converter in it...

I do pull a car hauler with a Camaro or Honda on it every once in a while.

Is there a small cam that will give me huge torque gains and not have me lose much or any fuel economy once tuned? Or should I just stay stock?

Yes, it's pretty easy to do the cam that's why I wanted to double check... What are some quick and easy to get cams? I'd need to have it by next wednesday so I could put it in and have the new engine and trans in by Friday.

OK... Cam is in the works. I will be selling my Texas Speed MS4 cam but I'll be keeping the springs and pushrods. If anyone may want a cam that's just crazy (it was going to go in a Camaro, not my Av...) this thing is pretty nice...

I'm looking into the comp you talked about and will be ordering it tomorrow so it will be here Wednesday when my engine shows up. My stock engine/trans will be coming out tomorrow. My built trans will be here on Tuesday along with my converter. I can't wait to see how this runs and pulls my car trailer....

I will. Next question is should I stick with the 6.0 intake or go LS6? I have a new LS6 intake just laying around and that's why I ask...

Update on my Av progress. Last night, I installed my Comp 212/218 .558/.563, springs, titanium retainers, and .080 chromoly pushrods along with a new timing set.

My trans builder build a 4L65E for me with a Z Pack 3-4 clutch pack, wide band, upgraded valve body, modified accumulators, etc. 65 already has 5 pinion front and rear planetaries so no upgrade was needed there. He also built me a stall that should be around 2000-2200 rpm.

Should be in and running the middle of this coming week and I'll start the tuning right then. I'm putting a wideband in temporarily to get my AFR perfect everywhere then it will come back out. I can't wait to see how it runs.
