Awesome! I found a good deal on just the steel wheels with center caps but in 17". Either this model (14-18) or maybe the generation before, I thought there was a concern on rim size if you had the Z71 package. I didn't want to start buying rims, sensors and tires, to not have it fit...

 

Eventually I'm going to sell those rims so I looked up how much they are new.

The Ultra Motorsport 225 phantom in a 17" are only 150.00 a piece.

 

Not bad. The local tire shop got these rims in new, with center caps (no lugs) for $50/rim. Didn't seem terrible, especially as this will be just for winter rims here in Ohio. I didn't want to run my factory OEM 22" rims in the salt.

Confirmed, OEM 17" clear with plenty of room. Just put mine on and no issues at all, probably about 1/2" between calipers and rim, PLENTY of room.

My spare is an OEM Steel 17"

The 17" steel rims came off a work truck and had the 255 instead of the 265 width tires. So they were 255/70R17.

I don't see why the 255 would be a problem?

 

It won't be. The diameter of the tire is more important for keeping your speedo accurate, but you're talking about a negligible amount here.

 

Found a decent deal on some take off rims, local and jumped on them tonight.

Anyone have a recommendation on a model to train the sensors when swapping from summer to winter? Rather save a trip to the dealer
