Still not having much luck with used rims and tires locally. Some 20" within a few hours of me, but they are asking a lot, for what will be winter tires for me.

17" rims will not fit a Z71 brake setup, correct?

Should. What size is your spare? If it's a 17 that will tell you.

Are the Z71 brakes bigger? I was under the impression they were all the same

I assumed 17" wouldn't fit since you can't build a Z71 with 17". I'll check the spare.

My truck didn't come with a spare but I think they come with 17"

Let me know if you don't mind, I have a 17" spare now and haven't tried sticking it on the truck so I'm not even sure if I have the right size.

Your truck didn't come with a spare? I just checked and my spare is on a 17" steel rim. So I guess they must clear the Z71's

Used truck, no telling where it went.

Thanks for the info, I got a 17" for it the week after I bought it and after your post I was worried about it, now I know it's good to go.

Well the new truck is here with the 22" rims. Looks pretty good. Having zero luck finding a good deal on rims and tires for the winter (coming fast here in Ohio - they'll probably throw salt on the road at 65 degrees out...)

Craigslist shows a lot of rims towards Detroit but I'm not getting murdered in Detroit to get rims and tires

Did you ever try your 17" rims on?

I found a set of 4, new 17" take off's but I want to be 100% sure that a 17" rim will clear a 4x4 w/ Z71.
