Rebates / Discounts
Considering a 2500 over my 1500 in the next year or so. I've never paid attention to any rebates or discounts to the 2500's from GM...am I safe in assuming that they offer little to no rebates on the 2500's, compared to the 1500's?
I know Chevrolet has higher discounts than GMC (unfortunately).
Just curious what everyone else has experienced.

Right - I know how to find the rebates, but I've never really paid attention to the 2500 rebates. Just the 1500's. I also typically know when they tend to run specials on the 1500's - didn't know if the 2500's were the same as well.

Incentives are quarterly, i believe. I ordered my truck 1st quarter, took delivery 2nd quarter, current rebates offered only apply at time of delivery. Incentives were slightly better 2nd quarter at the time. 4th quarter is probably the best, but your limited to what the dealer has in stock. From my experience, dealers don't like to swap inventory towards the end of the year, so if they don't have what you want, you'll have to search for it yourself.
It's been awhile since I've been on gmfamilyfirst web page. Before anyone could go on, build a vehicle, see MSRP, GMS price and current rebates, now you need to login. I'm not sure it's that easy anymore.

You also used to be able to see the vehicles that were used by the upper management at GM as "demo" (i.e. their company car) and you could buy those for a good price with hardly any miles...that is long gone....
Last time I saw that was probably 15+ years ago

Bought a new 2500HD in August and got a good deal on it. 65000 dollar truck for 50000 out the door financed at 0%. Was going to pay cash as usual but when I made the cash deal and they allowed 0% financing... sure.. took it over 36 months because I don't care about payments. One of my guys bought his 2016 LML truck when the L5P 2017s were out and got a similar deal. Buy the past model year and get the best deal a lot of times. Current model year in the year is usually pretty volatile.. and all the good rebates come out to clear out the leftovers lol.
My truck was a "demo" by the way... They still exist.
