I'm going to call Gates tomorrow to figure out what size belt I should buy (something I shouldn't have to do or pay for).

Do you know what boost level you're getting yet?
I think your Maggie kit has the pulleys set up differently and it definitely looks like it uses a longer belt.

I was seeing 10psi on my boost gauge on the few WOT runs I did. I'm not sure why the SLP blowers are making more boost. maybe someone on here will now the answer.

Yeah, you're right. I hadn't looked that closely at you engine bay pic. I guess the pulleys and tensioners are in different locations for a 6.2 vs a 5.3 (I don't have a 5.3 to compare my 6.2 to).

the pulleys are all the same on the stock motors, it's just Magnuson and SLP set them up differently.

One last thing I did before I go in for my tune is change the orifice jet in the bypass valve from SLP's 0.017'' orifice, to a 0.030 orifice. This will allow the bypass valve to close a little bit quicker and build boost a little earlier.

We didn't get to finish the tune because for some reason the PCM is pulling fuel at 4,600 rpm so it was going lean. He said he thinks he figured it out though so I have to go back. I'm going to install a wide band gauge first though.

He did do some pulls up to 4,600 rpm and it did 404/503 and this was before pulling any timing , so there's some good potential there.

What RPM does your boost come in now and anymore info on where to get the orifice and how to change it?

I haven't driven it really hard yet since the tune is still not complete.

but the orifices are just nitrous jets, so I went to my locals PepBoys and bought a new one. Looks like you have a Magnacharger, yours might already be a .035'' I probably wouldn't go any bigger.

My new gauge set up. Bank's scan gauge, GM Performance boost gauge, and AEM wideband.
