Default Lowered 2014

So I put some 3" shackles and took the blocks out of my RCSB. It still sits about an inch higher in the back. What is a good way to lower it a little more without ordering a complete kit. I have a pretty good way of lowering the front that I'm gonna try and will post pics if it works out.

Just out of curiosity what your idea on the front?

I've heard tht 07-13 lowering struts will work on the front also heard they won't. I've got a set I'll use if they will.

Well when you level one, you put a spacer betwenn the strut bottom and the lower a-arm. I'm gonna put my strut bottom and spacer soon the bottom side of where it bolts. I mocked it up on a truck I lifted, before I took it apart. It seems like it will work.

Hate to question, but are you sure it's a 3" drop shackle? I have minimal bed seam clearance with 2" drop shackles on mine, which why I ask. I also removed the factory block. Unfortunately, unless you do a flip kit or different leaf springs you can't go any lower in the back than what you've done. I am not a fan of different springs. Front or rear.

Also, when you reposition the lower strut mount under the control arm, I wouldn't go with anything thicker than .250" spacer because the geometry will get way out of whack and it will never align without offset bushings or a cam kit. Repositioned mount with a .250" spacer gives roughly 2" drop.

I got the beltech shackles that said 3" inch drop. I had to cut and fold the seam for them to fit. On the front I don't think I'm gonna use a spacer, just relocate the strut.

that's weird, I was sitting at work tonight trying to think of a way to lower the front since my GMT900 lowering struts wont work, and that same idea popped into my head. Just grab some grade 8 hardware, "flip" it, and bolt it up and go.

my beltech 2014 shackles said 3" on them also

I've been thinking about this idea of relocating the strut mount to the bottom of the LCA, my only issue/concern is that rather than having the LCA under the mounts to hold the weight of the front end, it would only have the 2 bolts holding it up to the LCA once relocated. That kinda gives me an uneasy feeling, hard bumps etc might eventually cause a failure of the hardware being used and that would not be a good day
