Got the motor down to short block. Pulled all lifters and didnt visually see any problems. A few rollers were gritty. Minute markings on cam lobes. No grooves that I can see. Dont know where to go next. Guess im pulling it

 

That really sucks. When my rod bearings failed, I could rotate the motor over by hand until the piston was on it's way down. Then I push on the top of the piston to check for play. Number one and two would move and click when they hit the crank.

Yep. Bad lifter as far as I can tell. Got some Johnsons to go back in it. Gonna go ahead and put some pistons in it and see what else I can break lol. Probably do cam with bigher lobe. Only had a 12 percent over

 

Sucks but atleast it will be built back better
