I don't know how things work with the new trucks but aftermarket HID's and DRL's are always a no go in my eyes and experience.

DRL's don't provide full voltage to the bulbs and thats why they flicker and soon the ballasts will die because they need to see more power, the bulbs can suffer aswell.

If you have the relay for the hids then use the drls power wire as a signal to your relay (85) and you will be fine. Your relay will give them full voltage and amps. If its still flickering with the relay then you have a problem with your ballast or bulbs... I like to run hid kits from the retrofit source as they have a real wide voltage range 8-32v, I run these straight connected to my factory harness no relay or extra stuff and have had them work just fine for years now.

i forgot about this. i have a relay harness, and when the drl's are on the relay clatters like its opening and closing really fast. apparently GM uses pulse with modulating to dim the head lights for drls. idk how to make this work.
