Help with supercharger decision.

Ls3, big cam, whipple absolutely no heat issues at all in Florida heat.
Ls2, big cam, procharger I had some temp issues at idle/in traffic in Florida and Texas heat.
As far as heat soak...PD style blowers are often used in factory applications...
PD means Positive Displacement blowers btw

Well I highly respect your opinion Pat. I had read the New Era thread on the Whipple 2.3 where he said they ran a lot cooler iats. Guess that's not heat soak though. How long before recovery would you say is normal on a top of engine blower? I'm in Texas. I used to hot lap my turbo truck with not much difference. You've had roots and screw or procharger?

So what would happen if you make 3 back to back passes at the track with a roots style blower? Keep running consistent? From a what I see not so much. Just what I see almost every weekend.
Which kits prevent head soaking? I'd like to look into it

Anything mounting where the manifold goes is gonna heat soak to some extent. As far as at the track, I've never noticed a change in runs due to it, I've ran 10 back to back 1/8m passes and never had my oats go higher then the first run. And I mean literally back to back. When sitting still ANYTHING will heat soak.
As far as consistency my truck will run within less then .1 times all night. If them temps drop or so up it will change a hair but if the outside temp stays the same it is consistent as can be.
Remember though, I am AWD and don't have to do anything fancy. I bring it up on the converter and just go. I always get wheel spin but its consistant and doesn't require letting out.
To the other person- I had a kenne bell, and my TVS I currently have.

The more I think about this, I kinda want a procgarger. The main reason I want it is kinda stupid. I want to remove the bypass and replace with a blow off. I agree, at my goal they should all make similar power.
