Someone needs to make up a set and flow them and install and dyno them!

The more I think about it the more I think it may not be a great idea for N/A. By the time you jack with the L86 heads it may make more sense financially and hp wise to just work over the L83. I don't think the valve size would be the key killer of it all, if it was MAST wouldn't be pumping out small bore LS3 heads (LS3 heads with smaller bores)

Keeping velocity up is really important and the large port L86 head be an actual hindrance. It may make sense with a pd blower like you stated though.


However this is all guess work. Man I wish I had the parts and tools at my disposal to play with this.
