Did bigger tires make my truck slower?
Recently I went from Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/65/18 to Cooper Discoverer ATP 275/65/18. Tonight I went to the track to test it out to see if the truck got slower. Weather conditions were very similar which worked out perfect. I was surprised with the results.

First pass versus a V6 Impala

Second pass versus a mystery UTE and worst traction of the night.

Final pass versus a 2012 Vette 6.2 with a Vortec supercharger....

I was happy that my truck did not get slower but ran my best time along with being around 1mph faster on all three passes.

It looks to run pretty damn good to me! Nothing wrong with a little more boost. I'm already at 10psi so I am maxed out with my stock pistons and fuel system. Anything over 10psi they recommend forged pistons from what I've seen. Do you know what is the recommended max psi for the 6.2 before going with forged pistons?
