Been seeing a few '16's around these parts....

The front end restyle was nicely done. The lighting upgrade looks nice and the grille is improved IMO.
-but whoever was in charge of that hood needs to be fired!!! It looks horrid.
That is all.

from what I have read, a ton of people prefer the HD style front ends to the 15' front ends and they restyled the new truck to resemble the HD front while also pushing towards the modern Euro style of the Colorado. The hood they definitely made more aggressive and gave it character, I just wish they would have added vents that were functional or actually added in the performance of the vehicle.
You're right though, the front ends are nicely done and the new Sierra looks like an upscale luxury vehicle. Hopefully they have nice rebates on these in 2 years so I can trade my 15' in!

to be a little more specific.
Silverado looks ok, the hood is more aggressive. I would need to see the hood in person.
Sierra (Denali model) is the ugliest Denali grill I have ever seen to date, its much worse in person and looks so cheap with the GMC emblem with a cheap black plastic backing its connected to. There is a little weird gap where the hood meets the grill in the center. Tail lights where pulled from the Yukon models the truck taillight "C" lighting looks horrible, however I do like the headlamps "C" DRL. The front LED fogs lights look like they were pulled off a euro car again ugly. Finally they are using LED's the halogen bulbs should have been killed off after the GMT-800's.
I do love the Tri-fold power steps, best design I have seen and they are very quite. (tested them at a local dealer) only CON there is no off switch for ice and mud (didn't see an option for "off" in the cluster either) Its almost 2016, took them long enough to offer power running boards on the trucks considering the GMT-900 SUV's had power running boards higher trimmed models and Caddies.
Apple car play, finally nice not to update nav disc's every other year, $200 for an outdated disc.
Draw back GM is designing the car play overlay, they can't even fix firmware updates for my GMT-900 ipod/USB music I have to use a old ipod to listen to music, other wise it pops every 2 secs on every song. (updates will be a big issue for GM, as apple makes lots of firmware, IOS updates)
My wish list:
Add side blind-spot alert (like the SUV's already had since the GMT-900's) this is huge deal for me, the tiny side mirrors & large blind spots (the huge B-pillar always blocks my view) are horrible on the new trucks.
Add radar assist cruise control
Remote & Interior power unlocking tailgate w/ tailgate theft sensor option (like the GMT-900's theft sensor only) GM originally offered only remote unlocking with this 2016 refresh, It was posted as an option on the build/configure, I don't see it as an option anymore.
Larger 10"+ nav touch screen, with behind screen storage like the SUV's
Add more & brighter LED's in the bed, with 120 volt power (w/water proof cover)
Add additional lockable storage in the bed similar to RAM and Nissan trucks (there is a lot of wasted space between the inner bed and outer skin) I would prefer to access it from the inside of the bed, vs outside for a hidden clean look.
Add HUD, I still can't believe there is no HUD option yet.
LT4 or Truck version supercharged option.
Higher trim optioned trucks don't need huge dash toggle switches, would prefer the SUV dash in higher trim trucks like the GMT-900's had.
Rear heated & cooled seats (SUV's already have heated seats since the GMT-800's)
Improve rear air flow on the Crew Cab trucks, similar to the SUV's headliner air vents.
Keyless entry, and push button start like the SUV's already have.
AWD option

2016 Silverado 1500: New Face, More Performance - PickupTrucks.com News
There's a good shot of the hood here. It doesn't look quite as terrible in this color. The one I saw up close was a black reg cab and it looked absolutely terrible. Doesn't match the rest of the front end in my opinion at all.

How did I forget this on my wish list, add radar assist cruise control!
