the all new silverado 2019

i asked him years ago, but he never could find any old paperwork that still listed his VIN.
but in doing my own swap back in 09, i even went to a number of chevy dealers & looked through a few schematics with their lead techs that outlined some manual-only wiring & parts - listed for both 4.8 & 5.3 in 1999 models only... 2000+ only listed 4.8s as applicable engines.
that and a couple here-says over the years, but those have to be taken more with a grain of salt. i do remember my uncle's truck - just never had a reason at the time to check the engine code.

Does the VIN on the dash have a "T" as the eighth digit? Does the SPID on the glovebox door have an "LM7" on it?

I had the pleasure of seeing a 2019 high country silverado in person.
They are smaller than they look in photos and just ugly. The front clip from a side profile looks like the new Titan,
taillights envy the new Tundras, and the cab has a similar shape as a Honda Ridgeline.
I didn’t ask the sales guy to open it up, was t going to waste either of our time.
Pretty disappointing.

Agreed, they look funky as hell.
The 2019 Denali isn't so bad though, especially on the bigger wheels. But the GM front end looks straight Ford and

Also, to me it looks like the interior took a step backwards from the 14-18 trucks. The buttons and bezels, in my opinion, are nicer looking on the 14-18

We had a customer with a '99 extended cab 4x4 LS manual with a 5.3L truck that I used to work on regularly at the dealer. I remember it because I had a 99 regular cab LS at the time and the truck was the same as mine but manual and ext cab.

fuel mileage ratings.
They can list the fuel mileage on the sticker in 2wd mode, which will always be better than awd. Same reason all the once AWD only Traverse and Equinox type crossovers now are normally in FWD and you have to select AWD wit a switch when you want to use it
