The only oddity I have ever seen is a 3/4 ton with a 5.3 in it. In 1999 and 2000 you could get the 5.3 in the light duty 2500 trucks as well as the lovely iron headed LQ4. I have seen one of those trucks once and yes it had T in the VIN. As far as 5.3 manual trans trucks if they did build them they did not document it whatsoever.

 

I totally forgot until just now that I looked at a '99 reg cab 4x4 stepside with a 5.3 engine. The guy only wanted $3500 for it and it was in great shape, I was planning on buying something new though so I ended up grabbing my '17 instead. I wish I had the extra cash to grab that '99 though.
