Who's making 450whp with a bolt on 5.3...?

Best e85 tune only pass was 8.91 @ 77.76 and 13.96 @ 97.05. I run my truck the same way just didn't think the standard cab short bed was that much quicker than the double cab with the same size bed. That would mean with a Klug Performance 93 tune your truck would possibly be running 13.6s and 13.2s with an e85 tune... I would have to say it sounds like you got one hell of a factory freak from what I've seen the other stock 5.3 trucks run at the track where I live.
9.16@ 75 on E85 here @ 700 miles on the odometer. Bone stock full weight except added 125 lbs for plastic bed liner and Backflip F1 cover. 4wd shifting to 2wd after 1-2. Don't recall the 60' but I believe 2.0. Slip is misplaced after move but still have it. Only other time I ran was after I installed blower with Whipple tune in sig. Trying to go again this fall. It'll take a whole day to unload though...

The new 5.3 will surprise you compared to the old one, I went from an 04 ext cab truck with a 5.3 and 4L60, the L83 5.3 with a 6L80 is a new ball game.

And keep in mind the L83 bone stock on e85 makes a few less hp and the same tq as the previous 6.2's did. Add a cold air and you're making previous 6.2 power, tune it and you're making a little more. That was the final thing that made me settle for a 5.3. When I was truck shopping I had 6.2 at the top of the list of things I wouldn't budge on not having, once I saw the numbers I let go of that. I still really wish I had a 6.2 and may still swap one in, but the L83 is a beast for such a small motor.

For example, I couldn't spin the tires to save my life with the 04 truck on 20's, tuned and all, and I had 3.73's too. The new truck will blow the tires off with ease, when stock. A lot of that is due to the 6L80 much shorter first gear, but the motor plays a big part too.

Towing my boat is night and day also.

The whole reason I went with a 5.3 truck was price. At the time the sticker on my truck was 46k. That's a LT Z71 Double Cab 5.3 so nothing crazy loaded up. I got mine with all the rebates for 32k out the door. The cheapest 6.2 truck I could find was around 54k and only had 7k in rebates so 47k total. For the cost off all the modifications I've done to my truck counting the wheels, tires, and tonneau cover on top of the performance mods I am still under 40k total cost. So 7k cheaper and my truck now runs 12.4s. I would love to have a 6.2 truck some day but the damn trim level you have to get to have just the motor is stupid.
