2014 5.3 cam swap and dod delete?
#1
Who has done this? What part numbers or how did you use to delete dod? Is the cam phaser limiter the same as previous gen trucks? I plan on doing a can swap on my truck next year so I'd like to be a little enlightened, please and thank you.

I read Truckin Magazine did a came swap on a 14. They keep DOD and VVT, but the only specs they gave where they put a cam phaser limiter in that keep it at 22° except 65°. I wish they had given more enough.

cam phaser is the same, someone makes a DOD delete valley cover, can't remember who right off hand, it's in the LT1 section on LS1TECH. LS7 lifters work in these also, or the like (morel, jesel, btr etc…) valve springs from the old engines will also work, just have to check and double check the installed height, I think the new ones are a bit taller in install height. the push rods are bigger I believe, I can't confirm that yet though, but I heard they're 3/8" or something like that.

I was wondering the same, plan on doing a cam/converter in spring. I think this should work

The can controls the fuel "profile" in these engines... Sorta anyways. So if it's got fuel for 6psi, doing a cam away and changing the love profile running the HPP shouldn't be an issue at all to cover the cam itself and maybe more boost as well.
