2/4 drop, pinion angle question
#1
HI All,
When new, my truck had a slight vibration from the drive line. I took it to the dealer and they put 2 degree wedges in. It took care of the vibration and was fine for about 35k miles.
Around christmas time i bought myself a 2/4 drop kit. After installing it, the vibration came back much more violently than before. Being down this road once, and knowing i just lowered the truck thus changing the pinion angle. I bought a set of 6 degee wedges.
They helped tremendously. But theres still a vibration, especially when towing/accelerating. Its not as violent as before, but still there and id like to get rid of it.
My question to you is, if you lowered your truck what degree wedge are you running? Also... Does anyone know of a transmission mount spacer maybe a half inch or so?
The boat is also powered by a HCI 5.3 with some giggle juice

I have a 2/4 drop on my 08 CCSB I used a 1/2 spacer under the trans and I cant remember the degree of the wedges. I don't have any vibration until I get up to about 100MPH and I think that is due to the tires I'm running.

That's not your tires. Sounds like your drive shaft is about to explode. 100mph is the critical speed of these driveshafts. Ide take it easy. lol Tire vibrations will come at around 65-75 mph give or take a few.
