Like the title says, I want to buy vinyl overlays to change my bowties from gold to black. I had them on my 2004 Silverado SS and they looked sick. Now I have a 2011 and am having trouble finding ones that actually are the right size. I ordered a set off ebay and they are WAY to small. Anyone know where to get these?

Find one for cheap from a junk yard and paint it (I am assuming you want to keep your stocker if you ever decide to sell the truck)?

 

Actually, come to think of it, I saw a post several months ago by somebody who had done their own with sandpaper, masking tape, and a rattle can. If you're careful I don't know why it wouldn't work. Black should be easier than matching a factory paint color.

 

Lots of guys are using Plastic Dip (comes in a spray can.) Works great, easy to trim and if you want you can peal it right off. Very durable also

 

For black I would definitely use the Plasti-Dip.

I painted mine (greystone metallic) but need to re-do it, its lasted in good shape for about 4 years now, but starting to chip up from rocks.

 

I am pretty against taking the rear badge off because I dont trust myself to put it back on correctly ever again. I know it would end up staying off lol

as far as the front, I have an extra grill so Ill be painting that one if push comes to shove.

 

Just looked through my receipts and found my paypal payment for the first set I bought. Sent them an email so hopefully they can make it right for me!

 

Mine's off and in the trash can. There's already too much of their advertising on the truck.
