I unbolted the stock catback from the Y pipe and pulled it off the hangers. But I couldn't get out from under the truck in one pieces by myself plus the trans cross member (I think what it is) is in the way.

So with the muffler off the hangers I rolled it more the 90% each way and didn't here anything rolling around lose in the muffler. So I'm kind of stumped.

I cranked it up with just the y pipe and no catback to see if I wasn't wrong and it was the OBX y pipe hitting some where but it didn't rattle at all that way. Man it sounded mean though LOL. So I bolt the stock muffler back up and it rattles like a tin can again.

P.S. Should there be a gasket in-between the Y pipe and the cat back at the flex pipe. My doesn't have one and it seem like there should be.

Thanks

guys

if it rattles at idle, why not crawl under there with the truck running and pin point the noise?

It seems like when its rattles the best I'm at work and not in the best clothes to crawl all the way under the truck. It rattles every time while accelerating but sometimes its worse than others at idle. I've crawled under while rattle alittle and It just sounded like the muffler. But nothing rattles when I shake it.

I thinking about cutting the exhaust off right before the muffler some where I can still use a band clamp to put it back together. So I can pull it off the truck and ride around like that to make sure it doesn't rattle. Then I could just tell the muffler shop to replace the muffler with a magnoflow.

It was in the muffler and I swapped it out for a 12909 magnaflow. It sound great now with alittle deeper tone than stock and WOT it sound so good.
