Default Would this cause a rattle in exhaust

When I put on my headers I broke off the stud where the Y pipe meet the stock cat back. So I took it to a local exhaust shop and the weld this flex pipe on to fix the problem. Now I have a bad rattle around 1800 to 2200 rpms. The exhaust is not hitting any where. But when I bang on the flex pipe I can here a slight rattle.

Did you take your cats off when you did the headers? If so, you're probably hearing drone and not a rattle. Classic rpm range of 1800-2200.

Yes cats are gone but don't think it drone. It's a clear rattling tin can sound. I just thought since the stock flex pipe was a different type of pipe. That this type of flex pipe might be the cause of the rattle.

I will because its rattling at idle now. I sounds like a tin can full of rocks. I'm going to take the whole cat back off this week end and see if any thing let loose.

Any tips on get the post out of rubber bungs. I always have a hard time pulling them out while laying on my back under the truck.

Hit them with a little WD-40 and they will slid right out with a short pry bar.
