Some people told me that you can swap the stock driveshaft of a nnbs crewcab to the older style 05 extended cab two piece steel driveshaft has anyone done it?

I have. Make your crossmember an put a conversion u-joint unless you find a SS dshaft that already comes with 1350 u-joints

99-04(or 05) is a 3r u-joint and the newer truck 07+ is a 1350. You need 1 3r to 1350 u-joint for the rear shaft to rear end or find a dmax 2 peice or a SS 2 peice. You can have someone build you a 3-3.5" one that way its all one size u-joint.

No issues with a bone stock 00 2 peice in my cc. It went 130 an was smooth, after my mcg flip kit i started getting a vibration bc the pinion angle is off 4*
