I have an alpine DVA-9865 with head rest monitors for the kido's, Focal K2 6.5" components, arc audio xdi805 amp and a single 10" infinity kappa sub. we used a standard plug and ran the acc line from the drivers kick panel and it did away with all the chimes and onstar crap. this is in an 07 nbs ecsb 1500

I ditched the chime module working on install now. Fricking fuming though mine is a SLT with the uplevel dash and there is no damm room at all for the pac module/ steering wheel interface and the myriad of rcas hd radio tuner and i pod cable.

Could the bastards have really given any less room or do they think they sufficiently sharpened every metal and plastic edge under the MFKING dash enough every engineer that works at gm ungodly ********

i have a pioneer avh-p4200dvd with the interface module. the module has a switch to turn the chime on or off (mines off).

my truck is a w/t, so no onstar or bose or any of that crap. just a am/fm, and 4 speakers when it was stock. now it has the pioneer unit, infinity reference 6032cf 6.5's in the front, and a jl audio 10" sub behind the seat w/ 350w amp.

Ok goin to colorado in a week so decided to hold off till I get back to install the full stereo system but I did put the navigation unit in on the stock bose for a few weeks till I get back home.

From the get go my stock bose sounded terrible in my opinion very little low end crappy mids and highs and just couldn't get any volume out of it.

Fast forward just finished the navigation install put in a pioneer avic z-140BH and a PAC os4 interface module and the stock bose now sounds absolutely awesome. It's a day and night difference and will flat kick *** now. Figured I put this out there for those who are right on the edge of ditching the bose.

Throw a bad *** radio on it and you will be impressed FYI.

Imported GM vehicles don't come with on star service, personally speaking no one cares if you crash here. LOL

I have the Rosen GM0710 installed in my truck 7" screen,Navi, blue tooth, and no module is required for chimes or for steering wheel controls. Its absolutely plug and play and bolts into factory location. It looks 100% stock with the high end sound of an aftermarket radio. 2 Sets of 6.5" Diamond Audio Hexs components on a apline pdx 100.4 and 2 memphis audio m class 10" under the seat on a alpine pdx 600.1 mono.

I love the pioneer so far as using all of it's audio capabilities. My only semi gripe and it may be something I get used to is the navigation. My garmin works way better they should have used garmin nav instead of teleatlas.

But, I usually know where I'm going so I need it here and there to get me headed in the general direction. My frustration came on our road trip I used it on. It was constantly trying to make us take long out of the way routes. You could look on a hard copy map and clearly see the shortest distance.
