Default What's a good deal?

Looking to get a GMC with a 6.2 and 4x4. I've been looking at 08 SDs because I was looking for a less expensive way to get into a 6.2, but the more reading I do on here, it seems like others are getting smoking deals on new trucks. I wish I could do without the options, but I really like the interior of the SLT. What's a reasonable price for a new SLT with a 6.2? The cheapest Ive been able to find is 41k, and thats without nav and RSE. I found an almost perfect 08 SD with 26k mi for $32k, but I would have to ship it, so roughly 34k. Is this a good deal? Sorry for the long post.

I just got a Silverado last month and went through the same shopping experience. In this area used trucks were selling fast and the prices were high. I got my new one for about $7K off sticker price, which was down around what people were getting for two- and three-year old pickups with similar or less equipment. To hell with that!

I talked to a dealer about 300mi away and they sell everything at invoice, so I was able to get a SD w/o nav or rse for about $43k. Just dont think it worth 10k more for the same truck with 26k on it. How did you manage to get 10k off sticker price? Wonder if I should wait until summer to see if GM is going to have any smoking good deals or model year end events?

I picked up a 2011 6.2 Silverado last month and got about $9k off of sticker. The deals are out there.

I bought my rig on dec. 31st, so the dealership was motivated.

I got $5500 off price of the truck from them, 5500 in ally/gmc incentives.
