not trying to hijack here...

but, i have a 40945 getting welded in this weekend. wondering if i should tell em at the same time to cut out that big single cat under the passenger side door? what about the resonator near the tailpipe/rear?

I doubt they will. In Houston since we have emissions it's illegal for a shop to cut off a working converter and replace with pipe. If you cut it off yourself and go up there I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. But then you also have to find a shop that handles in the bigger pipe.

i found a shop that works on up to 5" pipe... up in alberta we got big trucks everywhere lol no emissions testing bs either. i asked them about bending 3.5" pipe. apparently they use pre bent elbows, and cut them up to piece together any bends.

11silvy are you keeping the resonator? what do u guys think?

Which muffler are you going with? I say cut if off and keep it I case you change your mind.

I am keeping the resonator because mainly, I like the look of the stock tailpipe location and don't want any drone!

i myself like the look of the single out, prob still cut out the resonator. also don't mind a bit of drone lol

its pretty much the same muffler, case is a bit smaller... 40945 vs 11silvy's 40946

Is the oem resonator on 6.2's 3.5" all the way through?
