You have the dome light override on. The "button" is what looks like the trim around the dimmer control, if IIRC.

Hit the lock on the remote once, it simply locks the doors, hit it 2x, the horn honks, and "arms" the alarm.

well, my brakes suck too. ive had them resurfaced twice since i bought the truck cause the rear drums and front brakes were warped. SSBC upgrade?? =D

get used to it. i had to replace mine twice before they started acting right.

Don't you have to go in through the DIC to change all that crap? Like 03+ has that menu where you can change how long the lights stay on when you lock it, etc.

i dont have a dic switch , .....

my brakes seem fine tho , ... over 2 years and they still bite pretty hard considering ...

Look in the owners manual then. There is probably some weird combination of buttons you have to press to change settings
