You are the reason I'm not using that cam. Thats exactly what he spec'd me and our trucks are nothing alike, nor are our goals.

What motor?
What converter?
What gears?
All this is needed to help you get what you want. As far as pl4yboy thats chevrolades old cam right :p also that 222/230 cam does work good but i find if it is a "street truck" it needs a little more cam or more heads to make it fly with that cam. As far as on a 55-60 punch it is strong but it also depends on how high you want to spin your motor plus the e.t or mph goal you want. As for someone not wanting to run a ton of gear or converter then that is a great cam for an all around truck. Skoal bandit and i are pretty close and i dont have a cam close to that EPS 222/230. If i wanted to change cams from what i have now i think i would run that 222/230 on a 111+4 or a little more split for the L92/LS3 heads.
212/218 all the way to a 220/224 works great in a 4.8/5.3 with a lot of gear and less converter
222/226 or 224/228 is a good choice for a 5.3/6.0 with a 3200-3400ish converter and 373s-4:30s
Granted a lot of people are willing to run a ton of converter and gear to make up for the bigger cams so its all in what you would call a DD

If my memory serves correctly your 6.0 V-MAX does not have DOD. It has only VVT might want to check into a little closer before you start ordering parts. Gm has made so many running changes the last few years I have a hard time keeping up with them but just an FYI.

To set the record for Fastest CCSB 4x4...
Yes, it is Zach's old cam. The EPS cam is nice for a little cam. But that's what it is. I want to run up to 6800 RPM or so and the EPS cam falls off after 6100. It might make more power low, but with my stall that flashes to 4000 on nitrous, I don't need the low end as much.
