Default Warranty?

So in the on-going fight for more power is the idea of even trying to keep a little bit of my warranty no more or is there a chance they may still fix some things? Just wondering because I'm about to drop in a comp cam and I'm thinkin in my head these guys at GM wont notice if say the tranny drops and they are fixing that however once they are done and fire it up it's probably game over. Any body out there with a decent list of mods that has gotten some warranty work??

Really depends on the dealership. I asked mine about warranty after I put the S/c on and they said it would void my powertrain warrranty....

cam would def void it. at least power train.
but they can only void whatever your complaint is about if the modification you did is part of the problem.

ex. a/c isn't working and your truck is lowered, nothing in common.

i had a couple of missfires' on my truck.. and they swap out injectors like 3 times . . waranty covered it*
and my truck was tuned/shiftkit/K&N/ build tranny/ build driveshaft / . . and only thing they did. . . is put REV limiter to 6000 rpms. . but i just went to my tuner and raised rev limiter . . having tried the waranty . . lately due to . . cam swap and loud *** choppy idle' . . . .. but it's like they all say...." you gonna pay 2 play"

Yeah parker's email pretty much hit the nail on the head. I was thinking ahead to the transmission and was deciding whether to save the cam until my tranny goes then once they rebuild to drop the cam in or to just do the cam and have my 65e built later on down the road or possibly a 6L80e down the road which is what I really want to do once more parts are availible for them.

Hey, you only live once! Might as well enjoy it and never look back. I have voided every warranty on my truck. But if you take care of yours and dont drive it hard untill it really counts, then you should be fine.
