Default tire question, dropped 4by

Hey all, been looking but have not found the answer yet.
I have 2010 CC 4x4 with a 2/3 drop and want to put 22's on it. I'm trying to go with the largest sidewall i can, 285/45's seem popular, as well as 305/40. Does anybody know if 305/45 will fit, or will it rub? I have seen the 305/45 on a stock height truck, but not lowered, and it did look tight.
Any suggestions, the place i'm buying the wheels from were pushing the 305/40's on me, but i'm not sure.
Thanks

The wheelwells on the 2010's are really tight (front to back). It's going to depend alot on the offset of the wheel, and if you are willing to accept a little bit of rub when steering sharp.

The largest 22 I was able to fit on my truck was 275/45R22 with no rub at all. I don't think the 305/45 or 40 will fit, but I could be wrong.

i have 305-45/22 on my 2010 rclb 4x4, and it rubs on the drivers side, at the rear of the wheelwell. it rubs one of the clips that hold the plastic in. other than that, it fits perfect.

i used to have a 2" leveling kit on my truck, and there was no rub at all.

I had 285 45 22s on esky wheels on my 2wd lowered 4/7 and didnt rub unless at full lock and on a bump at the same time..

Id say a 305 40 would be perfect for you, and as im sure you know they are the cheapest size of 22 inch truck tire you can get..

Check tire rack, they really are quite cheap compared to 285 45s..

cool thanks guys, I think I'll go with the 305/40's. I would love the 45's but I don't think it will work lowered even 2inches.

good plan. remember, 305/40's are 31" tall which is stock on these trucks. the 305/45 is 33" tall, and it rubs at stock height while backing up, so you would definitely like the shorter tire.

what tires are you getting? i have the yokohama parada spec-x on mine, they are great. trucks handles extremely well. when i get new tires (which will be 305-40, so i can lower my truck) i plan on getting the bfg kdw. they are fantastic tires, much more grip than the yoko's i have now.

I have been debating between the Yokos, Kumho, or even Sumi's. I need to decide soon, as I need to get on the wheels.
