??? i have a 4" true CAI an i never got a code. yet if that intake tube doesnt have a place for the valve cover hose then you need to drill a hole an tap it with a 3/8" NPT tap an put in a push on fitting itll fix it

I was thinking about getting a live scan done and emailing back to nelson. But never had time to here lately.

The ecu has a +/-25% adjustment for your fuel trim, and no cai will give you anywhere near that much extra airflow. A tune will help you get the full benefit of the cai, but his problem is due to the breather line being interrupted. I had the same dtc's when I upgraded, and it took me a little while to get some answers to my problem. After I spoke to a tech friend of mine, he pointed me in the right direction

The hose in question is just the PCV fresh air intake, on my tahoe I just put a mini filter on it, no codes ever. You could do that or connect it back to the intake tube, cannot see how this is causing your codes unless it is blocked off or clogged.

I also tried the breather filter method and it only worked for a few weeks before I tripped the same code. Mine was a 171 lean code, and if you route that breather line into the new intake tube, I promise you that code will stop. Ill take some pics when I get a chance, but this is a super easy fix. My code hasnt come back on since I did the work, which was late last summer
