Default Third Brakelight Leaking!!!

Anyone else have this issue.. Is it just the regular cab trucks?? I am going to the dealer to get the service airbag light looked at, i am told this is a moisture related issue and they are just going to cut some carpet off of it. But if they dont fix the root issue then perhaps it will still occur..

If you are having this on a NNBS Chime in and lets hear the story!!!

I have a 2006 silverado and my third brake light was leaking water into the cab. i just took the light out cleaned it real good, let the head liner dry out, then used some windsheild sealer when i put the light back in, no leaks anymore.

shitty thing is is that the truck has 58000 miles on it.. so it isnt under warranty anymore i dont think.. I have "fixed" it several different ways and now it doesnt leak anymore im more concerned about what the water has already done to the interior and such.. Including the airbag module..

Musty smelling truck that isnt 3 years old yet isnt good..
