Stock 07 Duramax exhaust on 6.2 what todo?

Default Stock 07 Duramax exhaust on 6.2 what todo?

So iv read about 300 threads on this but had to ask, after taking off the new MBRP I have founds this stock exhaust. Now what to remove and is the stock muffler ok? And dron is not cool so do I need another muffler also? Idk if I'm putting LTs on there or going back to another turbo setup. Ether way what's a must and need to wile I'm putting this on! Thanks for any help. I did this about 4 yrs ago but diff time and setup.

Isnt 07+ dmax exhaust 4"? If it isnt then it is a direct swap. Also the stock muffler will not drone as its huge

Will the stock muffler sound good tho? Or do I need to get another one?

Stock will be tame. No rasp, no drone, nothing short of a stock sounding truck. Once headers and catless y is added then you will get your tone back. Also i run a 36" muffler and its loud at drive thru so im changing my whole exhaust system soon to get a tame sound back

I'm surprised just the muffler will fit! Muffler off my old '03 was cartoonishly big. It ought to be quiet. Good luck

Hope this helps. I have a 4" magnaflow off a duramax on my nnbs rcsb it was a direct fir as far as hangers go. Muffler shop had to fab a piece to go from 3-4". Nice and mellow.

The magnaflow do u know how long and big it is? I want to hear it but not to loud. Still want to put the family in and ride lol

i just put a large case magnaflow on my 6.2 silverado, and its super quiet still, you can tell from the cab that it has it, but no drone whatsoever, i also kept the resonator if that helps any....
