Default Spintech

Deciding between 6000 and 9000 series of street mufflers.

I have listened to the excellent 9000 vid posted on YouTube but that truck has stock manifolds and resonator deleted. I'm running ARH LT headers with cats and want to keep the resonator.

I guess I'm asking how much louder the 9000 series is and will they sound the same other than loudness?

My 9000 is almost unbearably loud with the LT's. Especially with the windows down.

I've got a 6000 series with all stock exhaust otherwise, even put the factory tailpipe back on and it's perfect. But I wanted something quiet since it's the wife's truck. It's got a nice deep tone and sounds good under power... At cruise it's barely louder than stock... Just a tiny hum, no drone at all though.

This is really what I am looking / hoping for! Ive ordered the 6000 already and think that with all factory exhaust including the resonator and ARH LT headers with cats it should be perfect. Thanks for the input.

I will post a video of it for future reference

I have headers, y-pipe,and then immediately at the y-pipe exit the 9000 spintech andthe exhaust exits right at the back of the third door (extended cab). It's loud as hell! But I never have had any drone. I love the spintech's. I am on my second and will buy will again. They are heavy, thick, solid as a brick. I personally think because they are so damn solid it cuts down on most drone scenarios. When you get it they almost look like they were made in a highschool metal shop. That "rough" look. Solid though! Did I mention they were solid? LOL

I had a Spintech ProStreet come apart under my truck while driving. Not the exhaust system, the acutal muffler it's self. I kept the piece that stayed on, the rest of the case is somewhere between here and Texas lol I was pissed, really couldn't believe it! Especially since I had given the other away since I had decided not to run the true dual I was going to.

I am thinking about running one, but Its hard to find 3.5" in and outs. I am going with a 3.5" after the y pipe and turn out right before the rear tire. it either spin teck or aero turbine muffler. I am tired of magnaflow.

they have a customizer on their site. You can build wtf you want and they will make it.

I emailed them, and got a real fast response, They said XL muffler if I wanted to get as quiet as my 30" magnaflow, but I think it is time for some noise, but not too much. what series should I run? aem lt's ory 3" custom y and 3.5" from there to the muffler and turned out to the side right before, and just under the bed.
