Default Small amt of forward progress

So tonight I finally got my exhaust installed. I put the Magnaflow 15121 cat back system on. So far that is the only performance mod done to the truck. It has a very mellow tone, rather quiet sound at idle, and no drone at freeway speeds. It did get slightly louder (in a good way) just on my drive home from work after installing it. Maybe a 10 mile drive. So it might get louder with time and miles. I will try to get video/sound clips, but no promises- I am horrible at taking the time for that stuff.

I also installed some of the rear wheel well liners while I was there. MUCH better now. Before, the white of the inner bedside made the proportions look funky. I got the liners from a neighbor for free (SCORE!). And contrary to what the asshats at the stealer-ship parts dept say, the liners for a 2011 2500HD are the same as a 2011 1500.

Next will be Airaid MIT, and a tune. I will probably get a dyno tune locally. I wanted to purchase HPT software for myself at the same time as getting tuned, but that's a bigger outlay of cash at once.

Then either ARH Long Tubes, and call it done for a while. Or save up for a front mount whistle. (whistle is my first choice, just not my wallets choice!).

In the week since this exhaust system has been on, it has become louder at all rpm levels. Not much, but noticeable. Still no noticeable drone. Havent checked mpg increase/decrease yet.

Saving up for Long Tubes as we speak. It will be a long slow process though, the wife wants another kid. Do to insurance now, it will be more or less out of pocket. I dont want to put anything for my truck on a credit card. If i cant afford it at the time, i dont need it. The only reason i may not get long tubes, is a turbo sounds like a lot of fun. But so does a TVS2300, and it would benifit from long tubes. Honestly i change my mind on what direction i want to go with the truck practically everyday. Damn you PT.net!
