Default service stabilitrak/service traction control, why does this keep coming on?

while driving my truck, it will occasionally show service stabilitrak/service traction control on the cluster. of course, it will chime a few times, and flash some lights on the cluster (traction control, abs, brake).

restarting the truck will clear everything, and its not throwing any codes when i check. whats going on?

Pinched sensor wire or alignment out? Is it lowered/lifted? stock size tires?

Probably a sensor going bad. I had an old truck that use to do that also.

I am having the exact same problem right now. Mine actually went into reduce power mode one time when the check engine light came on. Restarting the truck cleared it for me also.

stock height, stock sized tires (265/70-17), i've never had the alignment checked, but the tires wear evenly (never even been rotated).

i will check on the sensor wiring. i just re-installed my trans over the weekend, but i've driven nearly 200 miles already and thought any problems would have shown up sooner.

about a week after i bought the truck, it showed the same message (only had 400 miles on it), turned out my intake temp sensor had come unplugged. but it also threw a code for the sensor, so i knew where to check. right now i have no reference point.

Mine was weird. It would only show up after about 30 minutes of driving.

So what did I do? Traded it in on a 2011 and made sure they didn't drive it longer than 30 minutes LOL

Hope you get it figured out, I never did get a final answer as to what was wrong with mine.

My 08 VMax did that a few times before I replaced the stoplight switch. My cruise would not engage when that happened also, so I figured a $20 switch was a good place to start, and BINGO!

i used the cruise control on the way home from work, and it worked fine. but that doesn't mean much, just may not have been acting up at that time.

i checked the abs sensor wiring, front diff, trans, transfer case wiring, and anything else that plugs in underneath the truck. all sensors were plugged in tight, no pinched wiring, no abrasion on any wiring anywhere. i guess the problem is one of the sensors itself.
