Default Seatbelt chime annoyance

I have an '09 Sierra RCSB. Love the truck, hate the annoying seat belt reminder chime. I am a farmer and am off road 90% of the time checking on crops and I don't wear the seatbelt on the ranch because I'm in and out of the truck all day long and wearing a seatbelt on the ranch is entirely unnecessary. However, the seatbelt reminder chime is constantly going off and annoying the living **** out of me. Does anyone know a of a way to program the thing to shut the hell up?

It makes up a switch in the latch. Trace the wires down and figure out how it works with a meter and disable it. If it is 2 wires you will probably just have to cut one or cut them both and tie them together. Or beter yet, find the plug and do what you need to do there and it'd be a cleaner job.

OR snag an extra seatbelt clip and just throw it in there.

God I hate that damn chime as well. My solution for it is to turn the tunes up to 11.

Some times I grab the passenger seat belt in there to get the chime to shut up.

Throw that clip in there and be done with it. Worth $30 in my opinion

made me find some spinal tap quotes

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven

I always just click the center lap belt into the driver-side latch. Though I think GM changed this in the newer trucks where the center belt won't fit in the other latches. Or maybe it was Ford or Dodge??
