Default Questions to catch up.

I have a few questions i would like answered from you guys if i could.

When i had my impala i was able to install better springs and run the engine all the way up to 6500rpm without any float. Alos in this case alot of us would complain saying we had a "truck" cam installed in the motor.

Is the cam able to power the truck up to 6500?
is it the same cam?
What does the truck redline at stock?
If everything works will a good exhaust and CAI be enough to run the engine that high? (I am assuming so if it was for the impala)

My rev limiter is set at 6500, but I shift at 6300. My cam pulled all the way to 6500. It might have made more power if i was willing to go higher.

That is how the impala was as well but after 6500 it died.

So after that i am suming it is either the same cam or there is very little difference?

Nikon, are you talking about the stock cam? I don't think it will be making power up to 6500.

yes, i didnt know which cam it had in it. Alot of the guys that looked at the cam on the ls4 kept calling it a truck cam so i didnt know if it was the same one or not.

And if it is i know it will make power all the way to 6500. But another questions would be the heads does the new 5.3 have the ls6 style heads?

yes, the 4.8 and 5.3 gen IV engines both have LS6 style 243 castings.
