Will more than likely need a limiter for it, talk to gpi when you buy the cam they usually have them in stock! I think mine was 55 or 59 through them when i ordered my cam!

Thanks for the heads up ...do you happen to know if i will need to pull off the heads and change out lifters ..or will it be like doing a cam swap on a gen lll besides the phaser?

That is a loaded question... The answer really depends on whether the engine has dod hardware on it or not..... If it doesnt then yes so long as the cam looks ok when you pull it you should be fine, however there is a chance that you will have a bad lifter/cam lobe, so just check the cam really well when you pull it! If everything looks good and you have all "normal" non dod lifters you will be just like a gen 3 swap!!

From what i was told at the dealership 6.2 only come with vvt and the 5.3 come with dod/vvt. Thats why im not too sure whether to pull the heads off or not truck only has 28,000 miles on it

If the valley cover is flat its non dod, with that many miles, you should be fine to just swap it like a gen 3..... Again just check the cam lobes for damage!
