i'll check that out tomorrow when I go to the metal supply shop.
I'd think 1/8" should be more then enough for strength

Grabbed 44" of 1x3 just so I can trim to fit. 16" of 3x3 and 16" of 2x2 just in case I need to build it up
They didnt have any flat sheets in at a thickness I could use so ill have to see how to sit the bearing on it.
Driveshaft should be shipping out today!

How much you think you have into the entire swap in terms of $$$? Trying to see what I need for $$$ for this swap. Also would a bolt up cross member similar style to the trans cross be good idea for ease of removal (hard to tell in your pics if its welded or bolted to frame)?

Lastly, who is going to be the first to do a ccsb?

I'd say total $850 but I also got nailed on shipping.
Its welded to the frame.
You could use a trans style cross member but you'd still have to mock up where the bearing sits so $40 cross member and $20-$30 to cut that up and make it work? I only spent $40 on my metal..
How could you bolt it in? You'd have to cut the outside frame to put the nuts on so weld was my only option.
Iamkeniff and skipperdaddy have a ccsb swap

I was just thinking something similar to what you have buy maybe a C channel welded to a plate and to the frame similar to the style on the trans member allowing you to remove a bolt or two on each side and drop the cross member downward like the trans cross. Just thinking out loud for those who dont want the permanent welded in cross.

CC guys with this, whos 4x4? Wanna share what vehicle your shaft came out of or if you went new who ya ordered from and specs?
