I sent an email to Driveshaft Specialist now, so lets see what that turns up

 

What is the cost on yours? I ask because I think it was DS that I talked to. At my power level and estimated trap speed, they said I would have to go with billet ends and a carbon shaft, and at $1650, it was a little out of my price range.....

 

DriveShaft Shop told me for my length it would HAVE to be carbon fibre and it was quoted at "about $1600" so I'm not sure what about means
I havent heard back from DriveShaft Specialist yet but I'll update once I do

Ive done stupid stuff in mine and its still holding together.

 

Thats what Im doing too. I cant see spending that much, and I already have a rebuilt 2pc, just gotta build a X member for the carrier.

 

5" heavy duty aluminum from driveshaft specialties of texas in san antonio ... My ecsb was 85" center to centr ujoints ... $705 at the door with both new yokes and both splicer ujoints ... Its the strongest they make and said it should handle what ever u throw at it.. I had called and talked over the phone .. Took all of 20 minkutes or so and do not charge your card until it is shipped... Awesome one on one customer service... In my experience ...

that thought has crossed my mind, just wanna see my options with a 1 piece then i can price out a 2-piece and decide from there

 

I have dealt with Texas Driveshaft specialist twice now and I am very pleased with their customer support, easy to get ahold of and deal with. My driveshaft is actually In the mail back to me right now as I had it shortened for my 80e.
