Default Opinions please

So I'm having a hard time on what I want to do. I have the 4.8 and I'm pretty sure a cam bearing is going , now here are my choices pull the motor and send it out and replace all the parts or save a do a 6.0 swap I'm leaning towards the 6.0 bc a stock 6.0 I gonna do more then my camed 4.8, I was also curious what 6.0 to buy and how much am I looking at going each route , thanks joe

6.0 is the way I would lean to a decent low mileage one throw a bigger cam in it and be done

You're not going to find an LS3 for anywhere near your budget. An LS3 is 6.2L btw. You can try to find the truck version, an L92. I don't know what you would need to do the swap.

The 6.0L for your year would either be the LQ4 or the V-Max LQ9 if you can find one. I would start calling around to see if there are any of those in salvage near you. Otherwise, with your limited budget, you're going to either need to give up the 6.0 dream and look for a salvage 5.3L or another 4.8L or obviously consider rebuilding your current engine.
