Default nnbs questions

who has removed side moldings, and how did you do it?

what other free appearance mods have you done?

any way to lower the front cheaply or free? just looking for an inch or a little more up there, 2 inches max. don't want to cut coils though.

thank you!!

You grab the molding and pull it off then find something like GOO GOne to rub off the adhesive.

goo gone won't hurt the paint? I had heard to use fish line to pull it off but wasn't sure

Take a piece of fishing line to first saw through the glue. Then you can pretty easily pull the emblems/moldings off. Then go to parts store and buy MMM stripe off wheel. About 5 minutes per door--you're done. Then get some MMM adhesive remover to get glue residue off. Then a little LIGHT hand compound to get the dirt stains off the doors that were around the moldings. And lastly a little wax on wax off and you're done. On my rcsb nnbs truck I took off all the emblems/moldings on doors and the emblems off the tailgate from start to finish in roughly an hour or so I believe.

Its 3M not mmm LOL.

If you local parts store does not have a 3m earaser wheel then order one online. Thats what I had to do. And to get the modling off, just pull on em, they will come.

And no, there is no "cheap" way to lower it without buying coils, struts, a arms, or spindles.

I like to heat them up real good till you almost cant touch them. That softens the 3M tape and in most cases you can pull it all off without having any left on the truck. If needed, heat the tape as you are pulling it off.

Anything left on the truck can be heated and then rolled off with your thumb. Clean up and wax after that.
