Default NNBS 4x4 6 speed short cres anyone actually seen driveshaft failure

Anyone seen or actually had experience with a speed related driveshaft failure on a Short crew cab 4x4 10 up with a 6 speed or 07 up AWD denali.

I know we all talk about it and few have seen them fail. If so what speed did it let go at I know I've seen some vids of some 120 MPH top end runs on here. Is this even a issue for those of us with shorter drive shafts. I've got a custom steel DS in my truck my curiousity's been peaked by a conversation at shop today.

I still haven't taken mine over 115 for this reason. Eventually I'll get it balanced but that said, no probs here up to 115. Would like to hear some other input though.

I think the driveshaft problems only comes to people with ex cab or crew cab ( short or long bed ) with 2wd trans ( esp 4l60s ). Ive never read about a 4x4 reg cab, ex cab or crew cab spitting out a drive shaft. mines been to 130 a bunch of times and it smooth.

You are asking about 6 speed trans which is a few inches longer than the 4 speeds AND being 4wd/awd. I wouldnt think its a prob.

Mine is also stock ride height. keep that in mind.

Yeah I believe it was a 2wd ext/crew cab issue as the driveshaft was a mile long... My 2011 4x4 ext cab doesn't even have any signs of vibration or anything when I take it 120+. My crew cab 2wd would have a noticeable vibration around 110. Broke a few driveshafts in my crew cab none so far in my ext cab 4x4

Conversation came up cause we had a "bone stock" 13' short crew denali come in with trans and t case destroyed and the driveshaft barber poled. I went over truck with fine tooth comb looking for signs of it being de modded but it literally hadn't been touched there wasn't a single wrench, socket mark on any bolt any where and the wax coat on the frame didn't have a single scratch in it.

PCM tunes stone stock down to the air filter, the snorkel and air cleaner have dust on them and has never been disturbed so I'm inclined to believe the customer.

Customer said he passed a car and it was a light drizzle nailed it hard and it bumped speed limiter twice he said on second time there was a very brief violent vibration and then all hell broke loose under the truck. We sold the truck it's only got about 18K on it. We played hell getting everything approved but the data and evidence speaks for itself I honestly believe the truck hasn't been modded. I think it spit the cap on a u joint and that's all she wrote the rear joint one single cap and front part of the yoke on the rear diff are all gone. Guy said he picked up all the parts he could find.

It was a AWD denali.

Oh it's crossed my mind but the 14's mamas truck and it will happen just want to get a few more miles on it so far it's only got about a 1000 on it. Its strong it'll haul the mail and pretty efficient at getting groceries and kids home. Wife drives it nice and easy I'm waiting till it's got 6 or 7 thousand and broke in good till I get it tuned and lay the wood to it. Give a few months or so it'll happen.
