That's a crock if I ever heard one. I hate hearing about dealers screwing people over: I bought my Silverado at the beginning of February and all they needed was the registration for the Sunfire to give me the GM loyalty discount on the Silverado. And the Sunfire wasn't bought new or financed through GMAC or Ally; it was bought used and financed through my credit union. I wonder if you could make a stink for cash back?

 

I'll be back there getting a new car for my wife in a few days. I didn't fight too much because they did come down over 10k off sticker and got them to cough up the last 1000 on my trade to make it "even". I'll push it more this time; I believed them because I know someone at the dealership and that is why I go there and so far I have gotten rock-bottom pricing. If they did try and stick me for that 1000 I will be pissed.
